| The relationship between population and economy has always been the focus by economists at home and abroad. There are different views for the population growth in the end having what kind of impact on the economy. In 1982.Family Planning was identified as a basic national policy.On December 2013, the government decided to implement the "two separate child" policy, to relax fertility standards, adjust and improve family planning policy. The policy aroused the concern and thinking about the impact of population growth on economic once again.Henan Province is one of the most populous province of our country, the province’s total GDP in the country is also very front rank, but the per capita GDP was ranked very behind on the list. In this context, the study of the relationship between population and economic growth in Henan Province, and find out the reason of the population and economic growth uncoordinated, has.become an important issue of Henan Province to let the population, economy and social develop sustainable.This article taking Henan Province as an object of study. First, it analyzed the current situation of Henan Province’s economic growth and population, then it collected the data of GDP, the natural population growth rate, the proportion of the population of three industries, the number of college students, the number of Medical institutions’beds per million people has and so on of henan province from 1978 to 2013, and they are represented to reflect the economy, population, population employment structure and quality in Henan Province. According to the analysis, we find that the population growth of Henan Province is too fast and has adverse effects to economic growth;the number of education and health personnel increased, but their quality is not high, the quality of population levels needs to be improved; in recent years, the proportion of primary industry practitioners’ reducing in Henan Province is one of the reasons for economic growth, the secondary industry and the industrial structure should adjust;Meanwhile the proportion of men and women in Henan are also not coordinated, aging of the population is very serious, and the dependency pressure is great. Finally, according to population and economic growth in Henan Province, the author makes some suggestions, such as strictly implement the family planning policy; Improve the overall quality of the population; Improve the social pension system;Reasonable assigned three production employees;And promote the rational migration. |
