Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the development of labor education has gone through 65 years. Under the guidance of Marxist Theory combine with productive labor, China reformed and adjusted the primary and secondary school labor education course based on the actual situation of it’s own development at different stages of development history, forming the labor education system coincide with social background under its specific social and historical conditions. This paper mainly draws these conclusions after analysis the development of labor education.First, the objectives of labor education course influenced by social politics, economy, education and others, gradually transformed important method to cultivate good habits and improve the overall quality of students from the tool to reforming political thought and class struggle of primary and secondary school students.Second, the content of labor education course present evolution from imitation of the former Soviet Union, junior exploration, labor expansion, restore adjustment and labor alienation. The content of labor education courses have been influenced by the different social and historical background. The contents transformed from productive labor into physical labor and finally lead the weakening of labor education.Third, the implementation of labor education course based on five history stages, school formal implementation, joining in labor during the pumping out steel, equivalent to physical labor, back to formal school and penetration in other courses and as tools of some teacher punishes students.Fourth, the evaluation of labor education course changed. Mainly composed of strict examination before the Cultural Revolution and cancel the labor education examination system after the Cultural Revolution, currently there is no examination system about labor education.To sum up, this paper obtained three inspirations. Firstly, it is necessary to respect education regular and avoid political and economic factors to influence the school labor education. Secondly, the content and application of labor education courses should advance with the times and reform and improve with the social development. Finally, we must grasp the new opportunities and implement the labor education in a scientific train of thoughts.
