As the pace of the new curriculum reform continuously forge ahead,muchattention has been paid to improving the effectiveness of high school geography classtopics.The image has been teaching, as an essential part of the geography classroomteaching, inevitably attracts the attention of the general geographical education worker,is long-term topic in the research of geography curriculum and teaching theory. How touse the geographic image to better carry out the geography teaching, and at this pointof high school students can improve the ability of geography, geographic literacy andgeography is the geography image teaching research focus.But the geography image teaching carried out in the teaching process is notsmooth.Therefore, the author developed a questionnaire for students and teachers,interviews, image extraction results to find out the current teaching problems, find thatthe problem in the teachers themselves, students and the teaching and learningenvironment have existed.After reference literature, aiming at the problem summarycorresponding image teaching improvement measures, improve the teachers’ teachingand students’ research method, improve teaching and learning environment and otheraspects of the proposed measures,and put measures into a half-year experimentteaching.The final test results to verify the image teaching actual effect, finallyconfirmed the significant effect of image teaching in high school geography teaching.Itfully shows that the geography image teaching can improve the effectiveness ofclassroom teaching, through the effective way to cultivate students ability ofgeography and geographic literacy.The first part of introduction from the geography characteristics of first, theteaching idea of new curriculum standard and new curriculum, geographical learningevaluation three aspects introduced the research background of image of teaching.Then briefly summarizes the domestic and foreign research present situation anddevelopment trend of geography image teaching. Then this paper illustrates thepurpose of this study and significance. Finally, the paper introduced the researchprocess of this article the basic train of thought and method.The second part of the image teaching the connotation and theoretical basis, firstlyexpounds the connotation of geography images and the geography image teaching research in recent years, and then introduces the image teaching theoretical basis,education psychology theory, cognitive learning theory, the geography curriculum andteaching theory.The third part of high school geography image teaching present situationinvestigation and existing problems, through the questionnaire survey, respectively forstudents and teachers’ teaching situation and existing problems of current image designthe questionnaire survey, and the survey results. From the aspects of teachers andstudents their own learning environment, teaching three aspects put forward the currentproblems of geography image teaching.The fourth part of the high school geography image teaching effectiveness practiceresearch, through the design of teaching case image teaching effectiveness of theexperiments, and analyzes the experimental results verify the experiment results.The fifth part of high school geography image teaching improvement measures,put forward the teacher wants to classify geography image teaching, teachers inteaching process to standardize image with figure, the teacher wants to enrichgeography image teaching reflection image resources, teachers should often, tocultivate students interest in learning, consolidate the basic knowledge ofgeography,image teaching and learning environment should be created.Finally this paper in practical teaching of high school geography image teachingimprovement measures are effective, through comparative study found that after theimage before and after the experimental class teaching improvement measures ofeffectiveness.Finally, the deficiency of this article.
