From the perspective of evolution and trends of higher education, high-tech educational methods with innovative training models have become the popular combination in this age. That is, the power of new media can change teaching thoughts and ways of thinking, optimize teaching models and learning styles, and improve assessment systems and management functions for additional supporting of the realization of educational information and enhance the quality of higher education. This thesis, studies the quality of higher education as a starting point, analyses the impact of new media on higher education to deduce the ways of utilizing new media to solving the problem in higher education quality. The study profoundly analyses the relevant policies for supporting the research on higher education under the conditions of new media, in order to provide guidance for future work.This thesis includes the following five sections:The first section introduces the research background and significance, proposes research ideas and research methods base on the literature review; The second section detailed explains the concepts, features, functions and theoretical basis of new media, highlightly shows the role and impact of new media on higher education, as well as the rationality and feasibility of integration of them; The third section analyzes the performance and specific causes of issues in higher education quality from five dimensions, students’learning interest, participation of interactive practice, resource utilization, evaluation models, and management efficiency.The fourth section, based on the five aspects of issues within the quality of higher education, discusses the practical ways to use new media to enhance the quality of higher education by listing a large number of cases. They are:optimize the form of college courses to increase interest in learning, innovate teaching methods to elevate awareness of college students to participate, enrich the way of activities to improve resource utilization, improve the evaluation system to raise college students practical skills, establish the exchange platform to heighten the teaching and administrative efficiency; The fifth section, integratedly analyzes of the actual situation of China’s policy orientation and development of higher education, proposes the sector planning and national policy recommendations of development of higher education.
