With the rapid development of China’s higher vocational education, the number of students in Higher Vocational Colleges is greatly improved. Higher vocational education has become an integral part of our education system and has great influence on the development of Chinese higher education. In the higher vocational colleges, teachers determine the development of higher vocational colleges. Therefore, an important problem is how to motivate teachers’ working enthusiasm, improve teachers’ ability and make them serve the development of the school. But the strengthening of teacher management requires the establishment of a scientific and reasonable performance appraisal of teacher scheme.This paper takes the case of Liaoning Economy Vocational and Technical College and conduct research on how to construct a set of effective performance appraisal system for teachers. Through a series of studies on teacher performance appraisal, we analysis the current situation of Liaoning Economy Vocational and Technical College and point out its existing problems. Finally, we propose a specific solution.The first part of the introduction of the college’s performance evaluation will start with the research background, research significance and the research status at home and abroad. The second part first introduces the meaning and function of teacher’s performance appraisal system, and then introduces some common methods of performance appraisal. The third part is the analysis of current situation of performance appraisal of teachers in Liaoning Vocational College of Economics. First introduced the profile of Liaoning Vocational College of Economics, and then introduces its current appraisal system, finally analysis appraisal system and points out the existing problems. Part IV to integrate theory with practice. First, introduce the purposes and principles of performance evaluation, and then explain some preparation should be done before the formal evaluation. After analyzing the evaluation object, the evaluation index and its weight are determined. Finally, Part V introduces how to apply the result of teacher performance evaluation.
