The practice and study on the school-based curriculum of mathematics in the medicalvocational school is a popular topic and leads to the study on the contemporary vocationaleducation. The school-based curriculum meets the needs of the professional curriculumand the characteristics of the students’ study and then improve the development ofteachers’ professions by focusing on the differences in schools, majors, teachers andstudents. It becomes the supplementary material to the standard textbook of mathematicsin vocational schoos in Jiangsu Province. The study here tries compiling the school-basedcurriculum in mathematics to meet the above needs according to the actual situation ofschools.This paper tries compiling the school-based curriculum of mathematics in the medicalvocational school by studying on the theoretical basis, the formulation of the curriculumstandard, the option of the contents, the evaluation system of the curriculum and thecreation of the teaching environment. It analyzes the foudamental situations of the practiceand study on school-based curriculum of mathematics in the vocational school in the recentfive years and the weaknesses and confusion in the study. It points out that the option inthe teaching contents and the time arrangement should match the professional curriculum.The tool fuction of the mathematics curriculum serving for the profession is emphasizedand it achieves the win-win goal of mathematics teaching and curriculum. During theteaching period, teachers should improve students’ interest in learning and guide themparticipate in the activities so as to create a new environment by combining all sorts ofteaching approaches. Besides the physical environment, teachers should get along wellwith students and create a harmonious psychological environment. Heuristic and practical teaching should be used to stimulate students’ active learning. At the same time, teachersshould encourage students to cooperate with each other to get creative ideas improve theircreative abilities. Furthermore, teachers should respect individual differences amongstudents and set up the framework of the curriculum construction and reform to establishthe evaluation system of evaluation methods focused on the process and diversified targets.
