Study On Enrollment And Employment Work Of Pharmacy Vocational Colleges

As the groundwork for survival and development of vocational colleges, the enrollment and employment work has played a crucial role in the overall work and attracted great attention in recent years [1]. With the decrease of students in college entrance examination and the increase of various enrollment plans, the competition between vocational colleges would be more and more intense. In the face of the severe situation, the vocational colleges suffered from the most difficult periods that had never met. At the same time, the decrease of students taking part in the college entrance examination indirectly decline the quality of of students, consequently produce a series of negative effects, ultimately lead to an unsmooth employment, vicious spiral and restriction on the development of vocational education. Base on this situation, the vocational colleges should put forward higher requirements on personnel training, in order to perfect the cultivation plan of students with different levels as soon as possible.With the rapid development of the economy and the complex process of enrollment, the quality requirements of the graduates from the vocational colleges is rising, therefore, the study of vocational colleges on enrollment and employment work becoming more and more important.In this thesis, cases of Shandong Drug and Food Vocational College from the year of2010to2012were studied and analyzed, exploring the current situation of vocational colleges on enrollment and employment.In the aspect of enrollment, the number of students, the registering rate of new students, the students composition, department setting and students study were analyzed and investigated respectively. In the aspect of employment, the employment direction, employment rate, professing rate, employment quality, the ratio of supply and demand and employment payment were comprehensively investigated and analyzed, making a summary of many factors that influencing the development of the enrollment and employment, formulating a development program for enrollment and employment. At last,1650questionnaires were issued to the undergraduates, studying the issues that students are most concerned about, the data was true and accurate. The results of this thesis were successfully applied to the enrollment work in2013, verifying the accuracy of the results of statistical analysis.1. Study on the Enrollment workCollege closely rely on the industry characteristics, constantly improving the quality of talent training program, developing the high-quality enterprises, broadening the employment channels, guaranteeing the high quality of graduates employment and striving to improve the overall service consciousness. Consequently, the brand image of school has been highly recognized by the students and the society.During the period of2010-2012, the enrollment rate increased from85.4%to90.9%; After deep exploration, the proportion of students from foreign provinces have risen from17%to20%; Give priority to the enrollment from class one cities, increasing the number of students from class two cities and deeply excavating the potential enrollment in class three cities; More positive propaganda should be taken to promote the department with lower enrollment, in order to further enhance its connotation construction, perfect the talent training scheme and attract more attention and higher enrollment. Based on these results of the questionnaires issued to1650undergraduates,"Job Prospects" was considered as the most concerned issues. Meanwhile, it is also shown that positive propaganda network has played a more and more important role in the university recruitment work.2. Study on the Employment workThe employment of college graduates is beneficial to people’s livelihood. The employment rate and employment quality of college graduates directly influence whether the quality of the school personnel training was recognized by society, subsequently leading to a direct impact on school reputation and the quality of students. During the period of2010-2012, more than80%of the total number of graduates prefer to work in large and medium-sized enterprises; Graduate employment area mainly concentrated in Weihai, Yantai, Qingdao, Zibo, Jinan and some other economically developed coastal areas (75%of the total number of graduates); The employment rates of all these departments stay above95%while the employment match rate of all these departments stay above80%; In2010session of the campus recruitment, on average, the supply and demand ratio was1:4.3, while the ratio was1:5.3and1:5.5in2011session and2012session, respectively. The average employment payment of graduates in Shandong province rise from1275yuan/month to2225yuan/month, while the average employment payment of graduates out of Shandong province rose from1717yuan/month to2967yuan/month; According to the employers opinion, the satisfaction rate on the comprehensive evaluation of graduates’ quality was increasing year by year, followed by95.5%,96.4%,97.8%, respectively. The overall satisfaction rates of graduates to college evaluation were also increasing year by year.3. Development Plans on Enrollment and Employment WorkAccording to the data of the enrollment and employment work, reasonable goals in2013-2015should be scientifically designed in order to improve and perfect the various rules and regulations. Moreover, under the condition of high quality of students, the number of students should also be raised, in order to deepen the university-enterprise cooperation, enhance the order training work, improve the quality of graduate employment, deepen the reform of education and teaching and improve the quality of personnel training.Up to now, the number of the ordinary vocational freshmen reported was2249actually of2013session,32%higher than that of2012session. The minimum admission score in liberal arts was274points, while for science the minimum admission score was282points. The average score of these admitted freshmen was356points, which indicated a sharp increase in quality of students. The overall report rate of inside and outside the province was88.7%, which over fulfilled the goal set in the investigation analysis report for2013admissions.In conclusion, this paper took the Shandong Drug and Food Vocational College as example, making a detailed investigation and analysis on the the enrollment and employment work, forming the scientific development plan, finding the defects of the enrollment and employment work, exploring new strategies for recruiting students under new situations, expanding employment channels, increasing employment payment. This paper could provide theoretic basis for the other vocational colleges on the enrollment and employment work, providing reference data for the development of vocational education, which would present important reference value.
