In recent years, quite a few accidents concerning drug safety have occurred in China,making an extremely bad impact on the entire society. While people lose trust in the quality ofdomestic food and drugs, they are constantly reflecting on how to prevent the reoccurrence ofsuch accidents. As the successor in the drug industry, vocational college students majoring inpharmacy will influence the future of this industry. Their professional ethics and attitude relatedirectly to the developing trends of drug industry. A good occupational attitude will greatlymotivate individual occupational behaviors. Therefore, to cultivate their positive occupationalattitude is of great significance to their personal career as well as a healthier development of thewhole industry. The study intends to explore the present situation of occupational attitude ofaforementioned students in current social environment, finding outstanding problems andbringing forward solutions. By means of the study we expect to draw more attention topharmacy students’ occupational attitude from colleges, enterprises and the society, to enhancetheir professional qualities and ethics, and consequently, to improve the public perceptiontowards domestic pharmaceutical industry.Focusing on pharmacy students in Zhejiang Pharmaceutical College, on the basis ofdocument research and document research, we designed the questionnaire concerningoccupational attitude of pharmacy students in vocational college and handed out400questionnaires in20classes with a stratified random sampling method. Finally we collected378valid questionnaires and analyzed them with SPSS19.0.This paper divides the occupational attitude of pharmacy students in vocational college intothree aspects, including occupational understanding, occupational emotion and occupationalbehavior tendency, based on which we designed the questionnaire. After comparison and analysis of the impact of variations in sex, class and academic performance on occupationalattitude, we reach the following conclusions:1. On the whole, there is a lack of positiveoccupational attitude in vocational college students majoring in pharmacy;2. Female students’occupational attitude tends to be more positive than males at all dimensions;3. Juniors havemore explicit occupational understanding and more concrete self-positioning, compared tofreshmen and sophomores;4. Students with better academic performance are relatively positiveat all dimensions of occupational attitude;5. Some students show fear of entering the workplace;6. Some students have an apathy in pharmacy-related careers due to lack of interest in theirmajor;7. A number of students hold unhealthy occupational values;8. Most students considerfrequent job-hopping existing in current graduates to be quite acceptable and reasonable;9. Thevast majority of students have a strong legal awareness and collective consciousness;10. Ingeneral, outside influence plays an important role when students choose their occupation.In the end, this paper conducts an in-depth discussion and analysis of above-mentionedresults, probes into possible causes from the perspective of students, colleges and the society,and then puts forward countermeasures and suggestions with the purpose of improving currentsituation of occupational attitude of pharmacy students in vocational colleges.
