Research On The National Identity Among Xinjiang Uygur College Students

National identity is the foundation of national security.Young people are the future and hope of thecountry, and their national identity is closely related to the prosperity and revitalization of the country.Uygur college students born in1990s in Xinjiang is an important part of youth.Their national identity isdirectly related to the future and development of the country, to the unity and stability of Xinjiang. Studyon national identity of Uygur Students born in1990s in Xinjiang does help us understand better the thoughtdynamic of Uygur university students, guide them to establish a good national consciousness, and to form ahigher sense of belonging and pride of the country so that Uighur university students born in1990s canplay an important and active role in building our nation.According to the survey and strategic analysis of the national identity of Uygur college students bornin1990s in Xinjiang, the thesis provides authentic and intuitive data for us to select strategies to strengthencollege students’consciousness of national identity.This paper consists of five chapters:Chapter one is the introduction. This part describes in detail the research background, significance,literature review, research ideas, research methods, laying the foundation for further research.Chapter two is to comb knowledge of the identity and national identity.Then, define the concept ofnational identity.Chapter three expounds the elements of the national identity.Chapter four is empirical analysis. Based on the results of questionnaire and interview completed bythe research group,we have basically understood the present condition of national identity of Uygur collegestudents born in1990s.Then analysis is done from four dimensions: the political system identity, culturalidentity, homeland identity and personal identity.Chapter five is to explore ways. Based on the investigation and analysis, practical suggestions andcountermeasures are put forward to strengthen national identity of Uygur university students born in1990s.
