Body language is an important branch of nonverbal symbol system, it bears the targetlanguage culture as the body of the silent language and plays an important role ininterpersonal communication. In teaching Chinese as a foreign language, volunteer teachersnot only should possess solid knowledge of Chinese culture, but also skillfully use bodylanguage to facilitate teaching Chinese as a foreign language. It’s an urgent problem needed tobe thought for volunteer teachers that how to reasonable and effectively use body language ineach teaching part to auxiliary teaching.This thesis, at the first part, summarizing the research origin, the domestic and overseasresearch status, the status of body language in intercultural communication and investigationmethod. The second part is regard elementary school volunteer teachers and elementaryschool students as investigation objects. Through questionnaires we survey the situation thatvolunteer teachers use body language in class and the student feedback on body language thatvolunteer teachers use. The third part is regard high school volunteer teachers and high schoolstudents as investigation objects. Through questionnaires we survey the situation thatvolunteer teachers use body language in class and the student feedback on body language thatvolunteer teachers use. It’s the focus of this thesis that comparing with the results feedback ofelementary and high school students. Through the comparison we found that there’redifferences between elementary school students feedback on body language that volunteerteachers use and high school students feedback on body language that volunteer teachers use.So we put forward the volunteer teachers should use what kind of body language in differentteaching parts and we can give volunteer teachers some help who will teach in primaryChinese teaching classes. The last part is conclusions, which sums up the main viewpoints ofthe thesis. |
