Objectives To know about the state of nursing undergraduates’ non-technical skills and its influenced factors and analyze their relationship, so as to provide the reference basis for the leaders of the higher nursing colleges to topertinently train the nursing undergraduates’ non-technical skills.Methods Four hundreds and ninety-eight undergraduates of universities in Hunan province were picked up by convenient cluster sampling and assessed with Non-technical skills scale, Emotional intelligence scale, Social support rating scale, Self-consistency congruence scale, and the data were analyzed by SPSS17.0.Results 1. The mean score of nursing undergraduates’ non-technical skills was 3.64 ± 0.39, being over middle level; the score of basic skills among them was the highest(3.80 ± 0.40), while the score of developing skills was the lowest(3.48 ± 0.45). 2. There were significant differences for nursing undergraduates’ non-technical skills in grades, serving as student leaders or not, taking part in social practice or not, achievements, family origin and relationship with parents. 3.The mean score of nursing undergraduates’ emotional intelligence was 3.69 ± 0.35,being over middle level; the mean score of nursing undergraduates’ social support was 3.04 ± 0.44,being in the upper level; the mean score of nursing undergraduates’ harmony-self was 2.67 ± 0.36, being over middle level. 4. The mainly influencing factors of nursing undergraduates’ non-technicalskill in descending order respectively were: stereotype-self, flexibility-self, the use of emotion, the students’ grades, other people’s emotion management, the non-harmony of myself and experience, the subjective support, emotional perception and the use degree of support. They could explain the variation of nursing undergraduates’ non-technical skills about 46.8%. 5. Nursing students’ emotional intelligence and social support were respectively positive with the non-technical skills; nursing students’ emotional intelligence was positive with social support; the lower the score of harmony-self of the nursing undergraduates was, the higher the levels of the non-technical skills and emotional intelligence of nursing undergraduates were.Conclusion 1. The mean score of nursing undergraduates’ non-technical skills is over middle level. 2. The mainly influencing factors of nursing undergraduates’ non-technicalskill are as followed: the students of grades; the use of emotion, other people’s emotion management and emotional perception; the non-harmony of myself and experience,flexibilityself, stereotype-self; the subjective support and the use degree of support. 3. The emotional intelligence directly effects on nursing undergraduates’ non-technical skills, meanwhile also indirectly effects on nursing undergraduate students’ non-technical skills by the harmony-self and social support.
