In recent years,the topic of learning burnout has been on the rise.Research shows that students with a high level of learning burnout will show such psychology as laziness,fatigue and passive learning,if the problem of burnout can not be solved effectively,it will affect the students’ whole life.So what causes learning burnout,and what can we do about it? It is found that endogenous factors have an important effect on learning burnout,while emotional intelligence,as one of the endogenous factors,has no clear relationship with learning burnout,There are differences,which need to be further studied According to the social buffer theory,understanding social support can buffer the effect on pressure things on physical and mental health through the cognitive system.According to the theory of self-efficacy,higher self-efficacy has buffering and regulating effect on burnout.Therefore,this study is to explore the current situation of middle school students’ learning burnout,to clarify the mechanism between emotional intelligence and learning burnout,and to put forward,suggestions to reduce learning burnout by improving emotional intelligence,understanding social support and academic self-efficacy.This study used four scales:《Emotional intelligence scale》,《adolescent learning burnout scale》,《perceived social support questionnaire》and《academic self-efficacy questionnaire》,The study surveyed 1,232 middle school students in Jinhua and Nanning to investigate the status of learning burnout,focusing on the mechanism between emotional intelligence and learning burnout,the results are as follows:(1)28.49% of middle school students have learning burnout.Learning burnout has significant differences in gender,grade,family residence,and only child.The scores of girls in the total scores of learning burnout,physical and mental exhaustion,and low sense of accomplishment are significantly higher than those of boys;the students whose family resides in rural areas are significantly higher than the students whose family resides in cities and towns Scores: The scores of non-only children in low sense of accomplishment are significantly higher than that of only children;the learning burnout of the upper grades is significantly higher than that of the lower grades.(2)Emotional intelligence is negatively correlated with learning burnout.Emotional intelligence can predict learning burnout negatively.The higher emotional intelligence,the lower learning burnout.(3)perceived social support of middle school students has a partial mediating effect between emotional intelligence and learning burnout,the mediating effect accounts for 39.78%.Emotional intelligence can influence learning burnout through perceived social support.(4)academic self-efficacy of middle school students is partly mediated Intermediary role between emotional intelligence and learning burnout,intermediary function was 63.05%.Emotional intelligence can affect learning burnout through academic self-efficacy.(5)the link between perceived social support and academic self-efficacy was 84.96% and10.80%,respectively.Emotional intelligence can affect learning burnout by understanding the frontal chain mediation between social support and academic self-efficacy.Advice:(1)Focus on emotional themes and improve the emotional intelligence of middle school students.(2)Improve understanding of social support and improve academic self-efficacy.Conclusion: Emotional intelligence can negatively predict learning burnout,and it can also influence learning burnout through a chain of intermediaries that comprehend social support and academic self-efficacy.
