With the development of the curriculum reform, In the design and implementation of mathematics curriculum in more and more emphasis on the use of modern information technology, pay attention to students’ learning style, pay attention to students’practice and application of information technology. The cultivation of students’ scientific learning methods and learning habits can lay a good foundation for future learning. Mind map is invented by a famous British educator Tony Buzan, is a kind of radioactive thinking concrete thinking tool, knowledge visualization can be characterized by the structure of the way the human brain, which according to the characteristics of divergent thinking, knowledge according to different themes, focus, relevance to the chart in the form of hierarchical performance, promote the human brain to the comprehension and memory of knowledge. This research mainly uses the research methods of literature, questionnaire survey method and so on, before the implementation of teaching in Yinchuan City, We investigated the case of mathematics teachers at Primary school in Yinchuan City about the application of Mind map, selected on the basis of the sixth grade students in a primary school of Yinchuan city as the research object, The new edition Mathematics the sixth grade 2 as an example. Integrate the mind map into teaching design, the teaching practice of mind map in three ways of teaching, new, reviewing and after class is designed. Through the comparative analysis of effects before and after the experiment and teaching activities and students’ learning habits and ways of thinking, to survey and interview, found no significant effect in improving the performance of the application of mind map in mathematics teaching for students, but students will use the method to draw the mind map with the remarkable progress in learning and memory of knowledge, the mathematics learning interest is greatly improved, learning habits have a preliminary improvement. Because of the time, teaching conditions and other factors, there are still some limitations in this research, Such as the contents of the textbooks and the characteristics of the experimental object is not accurate enough, the teaching design is still inadequate, which affect the accuracy of the results in a certain extent. The author would increase the number of schools in the follow-up study, to further demonstrate the experimental results.
