Today, with the great importance attached to the rural education in the country, rural teachers has become the focus of the whole society. Among the current rich achievements of theoretical research on rural teachers, most of them are about rural teachers’ specific practical research, which lacks the reflection of current theoretical research on rural teachers. The writer of this thesis holds the idea that systematically summarizing early research achievements and problems existed in rural teachers theory research would help enrich and complete theories of rural teachers. Thus, under the state policies for rural teachers, this research conducted an analysis and evaluation of theoretical research of rural teachers since the reform and opening-up. The thesis combed and presented which aspect of rural teachers did those old theoretical research focus on and the correlation ship between state policies and theoretical research of rural teachers through static text analysis of 424 literature works sourced from CSSCI periodicals under the subject of “rural teachers” in CNKI, so as to discuss the problems existed and search for the likely development orientation and solutions to those problems.This thesis is composed of three parts.Part one contains the analysis of state policies of theoretical research on rural teachers. It mainly observed state policies since the reform and opening-up, which refers to what policies the Party and state published to rural teachers and combed those policy’s development process and features, and would contribute to systematically summarize status and problems of current research on rural teachers’ theory, laying basis for research on rural teachers’ theory.In Part two, the author pictured the overall sample distribution of theoretical research on rural teachers. Those 424 literature works sourced from CSSCI periodicals under the subject of “rural teachers” in CNKI were summarized and combed from aspects of quantitative statistics, content analysis and characteristics of the study. It studied the theoretical research on rural teachers since the reform and opening-up as a whole and exemplified the focus of theoretical research on rural teachers, and explored their research feature.In the last part, the writer explored problems existed in the theoretical research on rural teachers and came up with solutions and suggestions. There are three aspects of problems existed in the theoretical research on rural teachers under state policies: the theory may lag behind the policy, compromise to the policy, or even detach from the policy. Reason for that is the weak basis of theoretical research on rural teachers which is not sufficient in terms of state policies to rural teachers. After that comes the question analysis based on theoretical research on rural teachers and solutions as well as questions suggested by the writer of this thesis, which advised to strengthen the application of the achievements of theoretical research on rural teachers along with policies as well as enhance the transformation from theoretical research to policies thus to improve the correlation ship between theoretical research on rural teachers and state policies. Through those research under the state policies, this research on one hand help shift theory of rural teachers to policies that are binding and compulsory and directly guide practices by using the enforcement of policies towards rural teachers, so as to promote the development of rural teachers’ practices. On the other hand, it would help enrich and perfect the theory of rural teachers.
