For recent years, with the rapid development of China’s economy, the scale of cities has expanded unceasingly. And a large number of migrant workers came into the cities,because of these workers, the original suburban area of booming has risen, especially the economy of rural area. Along with the living standards of farmers have obvious improved, a characteristic of both urban and rural living areas have been formed---integration of urban and rural areas. Our school is located in the integration of urban and rural areas, so most of our students are from the families of farmers and the migrant workers, there are nearly 30% of left-behind students and they accounted for a large proportion,in this case, the proportion of the poor students are more. This part of the students are not interested in learning and they get poor grades in studying.They are called "poor student" by the educators. So how to help them to solve these problems is a problem worthy of studying.The writer takes the students in Baotou No.36 Middle School as examples, summarizing the poor students’performances and reasons, and try to find out a feasible transformation strategy. We hope this strategy can have the guide meaning to improve the teaching qualities of Baotou No.36 Middle School.The author thinks that the reasons of poor students in Baotou No.36 Middle School are both in psychology and behaviors, including:their own internal reasons, family environment, campus environment, community environment and teaching method, curriculum setting, teaching evaluation and the relationship between teachers and students and so on;And the Transformation strategies are listed below:First, pay attention to their emotional education, through adjusting the poor students non-intelligence system to change the poor students;Second, pay attention to the cognitive experience, teach them learning strategies, and then improve the academic performance; Third, pay attention to the individual characteristics, in view of the poor students according to their aptitude, give them the appropriate education;Fourth, pay attention to process evaluation, and promote the poor students all-round development;Five, require teachers to change the teaching ideas, improve the teaching styles and teaching methods, from the problems of the students themselves to help them;Six, increase the intensity of home visits, strengthen the communication with parents, form education resultant force.In the end, the study of reasons and transformation strategies of poor students in Baotou No.36 Middle School is only a special case of general education. And the study should be continued in-depth based on such a special case, and it should be risen to expand to the research in general in the future...
