Mathematics Curricula Standards of Compulsory Education (2011 version) clearly stated that cooperative learning is an important way of mathematics learning. Many scholars have begun to study cooperative learning and teachers accumulated experience practice, but problems remained. In this paper, inquiry cooperative learning in junior mathematics teaching, and through the active research, to find better way for mathematics cooperative learningThis active research started in Wuhai No.3 middle school. It includes preparation stage, implementation stage, examination and evaluation, reflection and suggestion.In the first part, theory summary of cooperative learning; the author studies theory on cooperative learning from many scholars, and understands meaning, theoretical basis and significance in junior mathematics for cooperative learning.In the second parts, the author made an interview investigation of mathematics teaching and leaning situation in Wuhai No.3 middle school, and summarized situation in two aspects of teachers and students.In the third parts, the active research of mathematics teaching includes preparation stage, group initiation, teaching design, teacher’s guidance, and examination and evaluation.In the fourth part, mainly summarize effect through cooperative learning in mathematics; Cooperative learning make students more interested in mathematics leaning, enhance achievement, and improve students’ability of cooperation and harmonious relationship between teacher and student. The author hopes to find better way of cooperative learning for students and teachers.In the fifth part, summarizing and reflecting to active research for further developing cooperative learning in mathematics teaching in future.
