Physics, as an important part of human science and culture, is the natural science of studying matter, interactions and movement. The rapid development and a wide range of applications in physics impel basic physical education curriculum to face new opportunities and challenges.In order to achieve the effectiveness of teaching and learning physics,teaching in physics pays more attention to the personalized development and training under the idea of people-oriented education.Standard of Physics Education also has points out that in order to develop each student’s potential of learning science, we should provide each student equal opportunity of learning and developing and should focus on students’ individual differences under the idea and goal of students’ lifelong development and improving all students’ science literacy. However, the limit of teaching organizational form,teaching resource arrangement, imbalance between students and teachers in traditional teaching methods results in the impossibility of carrying out teaching activities aiming at individual differences in the traditional teaching environment.With the development of information technology, multimedia network technology was introduced into the teaching of physics. The use of multimedia technology under online learning environment greatly helps teachers’ individualized issues. In the process of emphasizing individualized education, learning style is more and more used to describe students’ individual differences. When using learning style as the key word, time limited from 1997-2014, searching in CNKI, we could find 1203 articles. Many scholars study shows that specific learning style can not only help teachers better arrange resources and strategies in teaching process but also enable students to understand the characteristics of self-learning behavior, effective learning strategies and learning methods.Whether in the term of teaching or learning, it has been proven that studying about learning style is the premise and trend of effective learning.Basing on CNKI database, this paper uses literature analysis, survey research, statistical method to re-carding the theory about learning style. We analysis junior high school physics learning style in online learning environment from physiology, yearned ready, cognitive preference and behavioral preference this four dimensions into 12 elements. Basing on the study above, we combine the situation of domestic elementary education and the characteristic of online learning to make up the appropriate junior high school physics learning style scale and carry it out. We use the findings as the data to initialize the junior high school physics learning style in online learning environment.This study is designed to make step forward about learning style’s localization and disciplinary. At the same time we hope it can offer help in the aspect of effective learning and online learning environment’s construction and perfection in junior high school physics learning style in online learning environment.
