The swift and violent development of the information technology and computer networks is changing people's working, studying and life style deeply. At the same time, online learning has been one of the potential education forms, and getting more and more general concerns and recognitions of the countries all over the world. It is expected that with more and more technology into our classroom, the increased opportunities will be result to positive learning outcome. What factors mediate the effectiveness of computer-facilitated learning? Investigators suggested that it maybe because that different learners have different online learning behavior, the new technology and way is not appropriate and effective for student at all educational levels and of all learning abilities.With that in mind, before the beginning of the study, one hundred and four students from Shan-dong Normal University, majoring in Educational Technology, completed Kolb's Learning Style Inventory (KLSI). Forty students were chosen to be subjects in an online learning experiment, the task was to design one animation using the software of Flash. This study adopts and consults research approaches such as literature, interview recording, information retrieval, questionnaire investigation, laboratory study, statistics, summing up and deducing, etc.. Due to the type of the experiment, this study focused on the relationship between learning styles and the time of online learning behaviors, the relationship between learning styles and learning outcome and the relationship between learning outcome and the time of different online learning behaviors. It has found out the reason of low effectiveness of online learning, and has studied the countermeasure which can improve the online learning outcome.Chapter one has outlined and elaborated the research background, purpose, significance and theoretical foundation of this text. In this study, the most important theory is Kolb's learning style inventory, it divides learner into four categories: convergers, diverters, assimilators and accommodators.Chapter two, it introduced the design and procedure of the study. Explained the chosen of objects, materials, experimental environment, methodology and hypothesis of the study in detail. At the end of this part it is about the method of data statistics.Chapter three is the main part of this paper. It analized the data with method of statistics for psychology, and also have made a reasonable explanation for the result. It Includs: the relationship between learning styles and the time of online learning behaviors; the relationship between learning styles and learning outcome; the relationship between gender and the time of online learning behaviors; the relationship between gender and learning outcome; the relationship between learning outcome and the time of different online learning behaviors. The results showed that:(1)There is significant difference between learning style and the time of discussing.(2) There is significant difference between learning style and the time of reading.(3) There is significant related between online behavior and learning outcome. Chapter four, based on the result of data analysis, summed up the conclusions of the study, and then suggested the countermeasure which can improve the online learning outcome.(1) Create a good online learning environment. While hardware facilities is in place, improving the quality of software, made computer networks served learning really.(2) Designing online learning modules. Whether it is effective about online learning, advanced means is important, and a good design is more important. Today's educators always pursuit advanced teaching methods, but forget design course based on students'characteristics such as learning styles habits and learning stratigy.One of the solutions has been argued that by customizing learning modules to differing types of learners, the learning outcome will be increased.(3)Using the advantages of every students. In the process of learning, teachers can divide student into different groups according their learning styles, they can do different job. In the process, while designers supply plenty of choices of learning behavior to meet the requirements of students and at the same time teachers help students learn to switch between styles to take advantage of these choices.(4)Guide helpful online learning behavior. The network is opening, as a teacher, we should use this advantage instead of erasing it. We can encourage students discussing to solve problems. As doing this, it must be shielding some defects of students belong to different learning styles, and then get better learning outcome.At the end of this paper, based on the achievements, the abstract has put out the deficiency in the thesis and pointed out the direction of the farther research about the thesis.
