with the mankind stepping into the 21 st century, and the fast development of world’s science and technology, so the relevant knowledge of mathematics is applied not only to all aspects of natural science but also to various branches of social science. The development level of mathematics has an important influence on the people’s thinking mode. The innovation, application and dissemination of mathematics are three major tasks for the educators. As a result, it is a significant mission for our country’s educators to foster innovative talents with a socially adaptable ability.However, how to cultivate the innovative talents? What counts is having a question consciousness in studying. And educators should pay more attention to conduct students to find question, put forward question and finally solve question. Besides, if educators encourage students to put forward some valuable and meaningful questions, in the end, they can trigger the students’ interest to learn mathematics.Function is a foot stone of senior high mathematics and higher mathematics. Due to function itself with complexity and abstraction, for students have difficultly in understanding concept, nature and application of function. Therefore, it is becoming more important topic to research the appropriate method of function teaching. The author know something about domestic and international function teaching method by consulting a lot of literature. What’s more, through questionnaire survey and interviewing, author has a analysis about today’s function teaching. This paper focuses on researching the general mode, strategies and principles of question teaching method in function unit.And for question teaching method, author made a valid argument about its feasib ility and operability.This practice has proved that question teaching method in teachin g of function unit can cultivate students’ interest to learn mathematics, establish a har monious class atmosphere and enhance the teaching efficiency of function knowledge.
