With the arrival of the aging society, more and more scholars put the study focus on the elderly, the elderly life whether they are happy will affect every family and the whole society. How to make them have fun、backing and knowledge can gradually become the concern of the whole society.Since the country began to promote lifelong learning, elderly education and community education seems to have all kinds of connections, the main service targets in community has also become the elderly. Vigorously developing the elderly education and protecting their right is not only the need of social development and city transformation, but also to build lifelong education system. Although Shanghai is one of the most developed cities in China for community education, the elderly ’s participation in learning is not optimistic. Therefore, this paper based on the current situation, looking forward to the future, to study the elderly participate in community learning obstacles, in order to help building a harmonious society, and dealing with the challenges.Based on the pre-interview, this study use questionnaire mainly to understand the participated learning obstacles of the elder in community, and summarized four aspects as individuals, families, schools and society. exploring the correlation between factors, from macro, concept and microscopic, to get suggestion and reflection. The main contents are as follows:Chapter One:Thoughts on the obstacles. This chapter is the logical starting for research, deeply analyzed the origin and background.Chapter Two:Vision of obstacles. Through journal review, clear the breach of thesis and put necessary definition to the related concepts.Chapter Three:Obstacles’content. By pre-interviews, understudied and summarized what the elderly thought to prepare for the follow questionnaire.Chapter Four:Obstacles and presentation. Through the classification statistics and cross analysis of questionnaires, the results of interview can be confirmed. Aiming at the different groups of elder, discusses separately the influence degree of social, family, individual and school.Chapter Five:According to the different obstacles solution statistics in the questionnaires, I aiming at society, family, individual, school, put forward the suggestions from the macro, meso and micro angles.Chapter Six:Conclusion and reflection. Re-examine the article, reflecting the lack and indicating direction of the article.
