Calligraphy is the traditional culture of China, every country in this world has it’s own characters, but there is only Chinese characters develop into an art. We should carry forward the traditional culture, enhance the national comprehensive cultural and artistic accomplishment.Calligraphy education is an important method of inheriting and developing traditional culture, it’s very urgent to popularize our calligraphy education. Primary school students is the flower of our country, they are our future and hope. The government and calligraphy teachers should value elementary school students’ education of calligraphy. Pupils learn calligraphy, It’s helpful to understand Chinese history and culture,also can affect the values and philosophy,and can cultivate good writing habits, improve the artistic ability, form the good character and quality.How to teach Calligraphy well, improve the efficiency and effect of students to learn calligraphy, this is an education problem,education workers should study and discuss. The authors find that the traditional calligraphy teaching model in elementary school is not adapt the needs of times development.They need innovation. Nowadays, science and technology updated constantly, multimedia education change and develop rapid. The traditional calligraphy education should be merged with modern multimedia education technology.When faced this idea, the author interview the calligraphy teachers who adopt multimedia technology to teach, the final results: today is the information times,the application of multimedia technology everywhere, that provide abundant resources for calligraphy teaching. Teachers can enhance classroom teaching effect and heighten passions by multimedia technology’s assist, they can achieve easy teaching and be free from complicated teaching task, more teachers’ purpose is to improve teaching methods and quality by multimedia, and inspire students’ interest in learning calligraphy, and also to promote the development of teaching as the ultimate goal.The authors use the experimentation, observation and questionnaire for some students to teach calligraphy a semester,include traditional model and new model of multimedia assisted teaching. Then observe and analysis,study and accumulate constantly in teaching process. The research result shows that compare to traditional calligraphy education, the pupils like multimedia auxiliary teaching better. and they like calligraphy class more through a semester study. Students’ writing level improve faster than the traditional calligraphy teaching mode. More and more students attend the calligraphy class after school.They have a dramatic leap in calligraphy.More students practice calligraphy consciously when they come back home 。Through multimedia assisted learning, they can concentrate more on the calligraphy lesson, they are more interest in calligraphy.At the same time, the usual hard-pen writing is also improved because of Chinese calligraphy.They prefer the multimedia technology to assist in their calligraphy class.Above all, Chinese art education consists in calligraphy education,calligraphy education lies in innovation,innovation is combined with modern multimedia education technology to improve calligraphy teaching in class.
