Senior high school is a vital stage where student can not only develop their bodies and minds but also form their values. Furthermore, it is also significant for students to purchase the lifelong happiness and it makes the county prosperous and powerful. Ordinary high school education in China is commonly all in the same key and lack of its characteristic for a long time. Most universities only put a high value on the examination scores when they enroll new students, which lead that students in high school just accept the book knowledge instead of devoloping their characteristics in other ways. Due to examination-oriented education, high schools in countryside which are restricted by their teachers and teaching conditions, become more and more serious. To solve the current situation, National education reform and development of long-term planning programs (2010-2020) says that it is necessary to promote the development of ordinary high school diversely. The thesis is based on the reform goal and the educational situation of ordinary high school education in countryside. Then it analyzes the main problems and reasons. Thirdly, it makes a comprehensive survey on several different high schools in Liling to discover problems and get solution. Lastly, the thesis shows the proper and right solutions to fullfill the diversity of high school in four aspects: school type, course construction, school characteristic and educational assessment. These solutions provide some available experience and action for senior high schools in countryside and help the schools develop diversely.
