| Since the implementation of a new wave of elementary education curriculum reform, school-based curriculum has become an important supplement to national curriculum and local curriculum. Its development value is reflected not only in highlighting schools’ school-running characteristics and improving teachers’ professional development, but in meeting students’ demand for personalized development. Due to the change of development subject, more and more teachers have participated in the development process of school-based curriculum, so it’s an important subject about how to develop high-quality school-based curriculum for a school to improve its curriculum system.This research uses literature reviews and questionnaire survey as the main research method. This paper makes a full investigation of the development and implementation status of school-based curriculum of primary schools in Shanghai,proposes improvement countermeasures for the existing problems, and provides reference for the future development and implementation of school-based curriculum.In this research, nearly 30 primary schools at different levels in Shanghai were selected by stratified random sampling method. With the teachers and principals participating in their school-based curriculum development as respondents, this paper compiles a questionnaire independently and makes an investigation. Through collecting and collating the questionnaire results, this paper makes a systematic investigation of the development status of school-based curriculum of primary schools in Shanghai from the perspectives of organization construction, goal setting, scheme design, curriculum implementation, curriculum evaluation, and course management.Through the deep analysis of data in each link, the overall status of development and implementation of school-based curriculum of primary schools in Shanghai is as follows: the research result showing that in the development process of school-based curriculum, all schools could offer abundant school-based courses according to their respective characteristics and practical situations, so that teachers’ professional development was promoted while students’ personality development was driven.However, there are still many problems in the development process of school-based curriculum, mainly manifested as: under-diagnosis of students’ demand for personalized development; lack of school-based course training and professionalexternal guidance; limited utilization rate and development range of curriculum resources; curriculum evaluation system construction urgently needing to be improved; immature course management mechanism and policy guarantee.In accordance with the above problems, this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions for the continuous promotion of school-based curriculum development in Shanghai primary schools: create personalized school-based courses according to pupils’ needs; focus on training cooperation, to enhance curriculum leadership and development capability; enrich curriculum resources and pay attention to featured resources integration and development; lay emphasis on multiple evaluation, to improve school-based curriculum assessment system; guarantee policy support, to strengthen and standardize school-based curriculum management. |
