Culture of cognitive ability is one of the major tasks in school education, which occupies most of students5 study time. Therefore, appraisal of cognitive ability is the most important content in test. The research content of the paper focuses on Chinese test paper of Shanxi province’s medium examination between 2010 to 2014,based on Bloom’s Cognitive Objectives Theory and the full-time compulsory education Chinese curriculum standards, discussing scores of the six aspects including remembering understanding, applying, analyze, evaluation and creation on Chinese test paper of Shanxi province’s medium examination are distributed properly whether conforms with development of cognitive ability of middle school students and contributes to achieve functions of the examination including both inspection and selection.The whole paper includes three parts, which are introduction, main body and conclusion. The main body includes five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction of theoretical foundations which are the full-time compulsory education Chinese curriculum standards and Bloonrs Cognitive Objectives Theory. The second chapter includes all kinds of statistics and simple analysis on data of content, distribution text type text quantity and score which refers to Chinese test paper of Shanxi province’s medium examination between2010 to 2014 divided into six aspects including remembering, understanding, applying, analysis evaluation and creation according to Bloom’s Cognitive Objectives Theory. The third chapter, compares the Shanxi Province and Beijing, Henan examination of Chinese examination paper cognitive assessinent;The fourth chapter points out existed problems of the previous five years Chinese test paper of Shanxi province’s medium examination on appraisal of cognitive ability based on statistics data of the outlined above. The fifth chapter gives some suggestions to the compilation on appraisal of cognitive ability of Chinese test paper of Shanxi province’s medium examination, aiming to facilitate Chinese test paper of Shanxi province’s medium examination on appraisal of cognitive ability becomc more perfect and reasonable.
