Performance assessment of vocational college teachers is an important part of humanresource management in Colleges and universities, but also on the teachers’ jobperformance, namely the evaluation of teachers’ labor process, behavior and results,through the feedback of evaluation results, to mobilize the enthusiasm of teachers,teachers’ teaching and research level, standardize and guide the behavior of teachers inHigher Vocational education. Correct evaluation of the evaluation index system ofscientific, reasonable teacher performance of higher vocational teachers, objective,scientific and effective to ensure the teacher performance evaluation results.Higher vocational education is the basic characteristics: the employment as theguidance, ability cultivation, practice teaching system, a skilled occupation,"doubleteacher type" and the school enterprise cooperation. Therefore, teachers in vocationalcolleges should culture students ability of application technology, has a strong practicalguidance capability. Although the performance appraisal of teachers in higher vocationalcolleges has achieved certain success. However, due to the lack of theoretical guidance,scientific management method, at present, in the higher vocational teachers’ performanceevaluation system design there are some problems. Currently before an important topic forresearch management in higher vocational colleges, we must actively explore theestablishment of an effective teacher performance evaluation index system.The degree of the level of teacher team in Higher Vocational Colleges level andenthusiasm will be directly related to the personnel training quality, but also related to thedevelopment of Higher Vocational colleges. This paper focuses on the performanceevaluation of teachers in higher vocational colleges, according to the relevant theories ofperformance management, the teachers of teachers in Colleges and universities and highervocational colleges comparison, analysis of the current situation of teachers in HigherVocational Colleges and vocational colleges, according to the performance requirementsfor teachers, analysis of the performance of Cangzhou Y College Appraisal status. On thisbasis, on how to design the vocational college teacher performance appraisal index system,are explained from three aspects of evaluation index system of Higher Vocational CollegesTeachers Performance role, guiding ideology and specific steps, and determine theperformance appraisal index weight by using AHP method, at the same time, according tothe evaluation index system of teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges performance design principles, put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the evaluationindex system of teachers in Higher Vocational Colleges performance.
