If the pre-service education for young teachers in universities to teach from thedoor opened, so in-service education is the young teachers’ professional specialty andteaching a comprehensive upgrade of the palace. In-service education is not only therights of young teachers in Colleges and universities, but also the duty of youngcollege teachers. Along with the social development, the knowledge of the life is moreand more short. In this era of knowledge explosion, the young teachers must conformto the trend of the times, actively participate in the in-service education, make theirown stand three feet platform, and to seek long-term development.The thesis consists of five chapters following a rigorous consecution:Chapter I: Introduction. Researching background, researching ideas, researchmethod and problems in recently research are introduced in this Part, as well asdefinitions for several important relative conceptions.Chapter II: The theoretical basis of the in-service education of college teachers.Introduce the teachers’career development theory and adult learning theory.Chapter III: The development of Chinese In-service education of college teachers.Introduce the history about the development of in-service education of collegeteachers, and analyze the current situation of it.Chapter IV: The indication of foreign college teachers’in-service education.Introduced the advanced experience of college teacher in-service education in UnitedStates, Britain and Canada.Chapter V: The proposal for improvement of college teacher in-service educationin China.
