The construction of teachers’ professional identity is not only of great significance to the personal growth and development of teachers,but also plays an important role in the overall construction of teachers.Initial teacher education is a key period to shape teachers’ professional identity of pre-service teachers.Teachers and relevant policy makers must incorporate the cultivation of teachers’ professional identity into the goal of initial teacher education.What is the influence of each part of initial teacher education on the professional identity of pre-service teachers? How does the initial teacher education affect the professional identity of pre-service teachers? Based on the above considerations,this study attempts to investigate the professional identity of pre-service teachers and analyze the specific impact of initial teacher education on the professional identity of pre-service teachers.In order to achieve the research purpose,this study investigated the students of six majors in D University in the form of questionnaire and interview.Questionnaires and interviews were conducted in the form of online surveys,in which 302 questionnaires were collected and 274 were valid,with a recovery rate of 90.73%.Eight interviewees were selected from the questionnaire survey.The questionnaire uses the software Spss25.0 to analyze the data,and combined with the interview results,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)Teachers’ professional identity of normal students in D University is at the upper-middle level.(2)Pre-service teacher education has a positive impact on the professional identity of normal students.(3)Theoretical courses have more influence on the teaching motivation of normal students.(4)Practical courses have more influence on students’ internship satisfaction.(5)Informal learning has more influence on students’ self-efficacy.Based on the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward some suggestions on how to optimize the pre-service education of teachers to cultivate the professional identity of normal students: First,strengthen the construction of teachers’ theoretical courses so as to strengthen the motivation of normal students to teach.Second,teachers and educators should not only pay attention to the teaching content but also play an exemplary role.Third,continue to attach importance to and strengthen the edifying function of normal students’ formative education activities.Finally,the research is summarized and the future prospect is put forward.
