The aging population has become an important challenge faced by all the world today.Compared with developed countries, the aging population, Chinese aging population showedcharacteristics of large base, growth speed, aging and the empty nest, not rich old first, urbanand rural difference etc. With such grim aging situation, a series of social problems willappear, such as the government pension expenditure pressure increases, the pension burden ofchildren under4-2-1family structure become heavier, Labor force reduction restrict economicdevelopment, between the unsound social endowment insurance and medical health servicesystem and increased demand of the aged generate enormous contradiction etc. Therefore, payattention to the quality of life of the elderly in China, explore the main influence factors ofquality of life are the focus of many scholars study.This research used2012Peking University CHARLS questionnaire and data results,extracted380valid data of the elderly aged60, used the EQ-5D scale to evaluate quality oflife of Chinese elderly, draw the scores of EQ-5D index, EQ-VAS score and five Dimensionsof Mobility, Self-Care, Usual Activities, Pain/Discomfort, Anxiety/Depression. Then throughnon parameter test and the multiple stepwise regression analysis to analysis the effect of fourkinds of factors on the total score of life quality and five dimensions, which includes thepopulation sociology factors (gender, age, marital status, residence area, education level,occupation type, the living conditions, children’s average annual income, children’seconomic support and the elderly living preference), health related behaviors(smokingand drinking), chronic disease status and health care status (health insurance type and homehealth care spending), to clear the main influencing factors of quality of life of the elderly inchina.The results showed that EQ-5D index of the elderly in China was0.494±0.221, isrelatively low compared with the previous domestic research results, EQ-VAS score of is68.579±20.420, which is slightly higher than the previous studies, the overall life quality isat a medium level. The score of five dimensions scale is Mobility(0.106±0.082),Self-Care(0.07±0.013), Usual Activities(0.016±0.030), Pain/Discomfort (0.048±0.051),Anxiety/Depression(0.178±0.148), score of Anxiety/Depression dimension is the highest,Self-Care dimension scored the lowest. Chinese elderly presence best performance inSelf-Care and the most serious problem in Anxiety/Depression. The results of singlefactor and multi factor analysis showed that influence role and influence range of4types factors are not identical, the factors of population sociology is the common factors that affectthe quality of life for the elderly, marital status and children’s average annual income haveinfluence on EQ-5D index and five dimensions, gender affect three dimensions of Mobility,Pain/Discomfort and Anxiety/Depression, age affect three dimensions of Usual Activities,Pain/Discomfort and Anxiety/Depression, the elderly living preference affect threedimensions of Mobility, Self-Care and Usual Activities, the children living conditions,education level and residence area have Separately influence on one of EQ-5D index,Mobility and Usual Activities. Chronic disease status affect EQ-5D index and five dimensions,health related behaviors affect EQ-5D index, Mobility and Pain/Discomfort, health care statusaffect EQ-5D index, Pain/Discomfort and Anxiety/Depression. General showed that the ruralelderly with the basic characteristics of widowed, elderly, women, poor economic status ofchildren, alone(empty nest) and various chronic diseases has the worse life quality.Therefore, this study suggests through five measures below to improve the quality of lifeof aged people in China, which includes changing the traditional idea of marriage, payingattention to the children’s support for elderly,concerning for vulnerable elderly groups,preventing and controlling the chronic diseases and improving the health care system, toenable older people to live a healthy and happy old age life and promote the development ofhealthy aging. |
