Self-regulated learning which has an important value in the life of humandevelopment is one of their ideals and goals for worldwide schools’ education. Thehigh school biology curriculum’s reform advocates the student-centered teachingphilosophy, focusing on students’ self-regulated learning. This paper, which adapts tothe current requirements of the new curriculum reform, makes a study of theself-regulated classroom teaching model in the new curriculum of the high schoolbiology. Hope that through the theory and practice work provides the beneficialreference for the teaching reform of the high schools’ biology.On the basis of the contemporary theory of self-regulated learning study at homeand abroad, this paper carries on a deep research in the essence of self-regulatedlearning, the teaching model of self-regulated learning in the interpersonal interactionas a teaching model of self-regulated learning orientation, the construction ofmeaning-oriented self-regulated learning model and the self-regulation-orientedteaching model. Combining with the practical work of first-line biology teaching andwith the teaching and research of the new curriculum of the high school biology ofgrade2011in Kunming Xishan District Experimental Secondary School as anexample, the author conducted an experimental research on a self-regulatedclassroom teaching model. It seems safer to conclude that the self-regulated teachingmodel helps to improve the students’ interest in learning, the students’ ability oflearning, the students’ achievements and teaching effectiveness as to adapt to thecurrent requirements of the new curriculum reform. The author believes,self-regulated learning model will occupy an important place and exert its positiveeffect in the educational and teaching reform.
