" Children Left Behind " mainly refers to is the result of one or both parents work outside the home, you can not follow their parents to live with their parents to accept custody, and was left in rural domicile by a parent or guardian on behalf of other clients, or more than six months to live alone (7to15years old) children. Children stay focused on children’s behavior and parents long separation, psychological aspects of the state and the problems of learning, is China’s unique economic phenomena. So, how to intervene to make learning weaknesses of children left behind by group counseling, this study has important significance.In order to investigate the status of student learning burnout children left behind, as well as learning and social interaction and community cohesion on children left behind student burnout, this study combines quantitative methods and qualitative research methods. Quantitative methods using questionnaires random XX City Middle School eighth530high school students to investigate, understand the current situation of children left behind burnout learning differences, measured by comparing before and after the intervention group counseling, and explores the relationship between variables. Qualitative research method using group counseling, select the left-behind children32students, divided into two groups each group of16, excluding the two fall for each group of15groups for group counseling, children left to explore students’learning burnout factors characteristics, the study found:(1) left-behind children learning burnout factors including gender, age and other factors;(2) After the experimental group counseling intervention, the experimental group students before the occurrence of burnout compared with the experimental change significantly compared to the control group, significant changes have taken place, indicating that the experimental group counseling interventions have some effect.(3) through group counseling questionnaire (young people learn Burnout Inventory), this makes the children left behind group counseling of students’ mental health has been improved to some extent.(4) group counseling help to improve the learning burnout.(5) group counseling on improving student learning burnout left-behind children have some effect, for school counseling and related mental health education theory and practice to provide guidance.Through group counseling interventions, combined with group dynamics and interpersonal theory, and theory of positive psychology counseling theory, theory and practice of group counseling for children left behind student learning burnout intervention is feasible and effective.
