As diverse social thoughts appear, ideological education of universityfaces challenge, therefore, the university has to explore new methods tocope with this challenge, so that the effects can be made. Popular culturecan make positive identification formed among the educated, thus theirsense of cohesion can be strengthened. Popular culture may exert aninfluence on the students’ ideology. Therefore, it should be made gooduse of to ensure the idea of ideological education goes deep into thehearts of the students.This thesis includes five chapters. Chapter one introduces somerelevant definitions and significance of the research, including definitionof idea of ideological education of university, its characteristics andclassification, definition, characteirstics and forms of popular culture.Chapter two is where the theme lies in. In this chapter, the authoranalyzes why and how ideological education of university can agree withpopular culture. Chapter three reflects the topic of the research paper byanalyzing the concept of the ideological and political education and thefeasibility of the popular culture in which it fits. In chapter four, it putsforward certain thoughts and countermeasures in the view of theideological and political education philosophy and popular culture it fits.Chapter five is the conclusion part. It also points out the limitations of theresearch to make more scholars pay attention to the problem.
