This study is to promote sports tourism destination development in Hainan forresearch purposes, Hainan sports tourism destination market for the study, sportstourists to Hainan survey, using literature data, questionnaire, field trips, expertinterviews, mathematical statistics and other research methods, Hainan sports tourismdestination market research and analysis, the main conclusions are as follows:First, discusses the development of sports tourism destination market theory,including sports tourism destination, features and connotation of sports tourismmarket, demand theory describes the motivation and tourists to participate in sportstourism, sports tourism destination and proposed market development theorySecond, the market and the development status of Hainan sports tourismdestination tourists do in detail, and the use of ASEB analysis of sports tourismmarket in Hainan were analyzed. Hainan sports tourists mainly from the domestictourist market, the impact of the "Golden Week" holidays on Hainan and sportstourism market is more obvious.Third, from the basic characteristics and behavioral characteristics of sportstourists analyzes the influencing factors of two sports tourism destination marketdevelopment in Hainan, the results showed that: Chinese tourists accounted for alarger proportion of young men traveling higher rate,87.39%of visitors level ofeducation in the college level, the main motivation for the recreational tourism,physical fitness; main factors that affect people’s travel time, economic level andnature of the work.Fourth, the proposed strategy Hainan sports tourism destination marketdevelopment: development of sports tourism destination market in Hainan to bereasonable and accurate source of market positioning, focus on the development ofleisure sports tourism market, efforts to develop sports tourism in the elderlyconvalescing market, open up the middle and low sports tourism market, thecombination of characteristics and localization, with all kinds of festivals heldannually in Hainan, event, conference and exhibition activities, the use of the Guangdong International Tourism and Culture Festival, China (Shanghai)International Tourism Fair, China Sports Tourism fairs and other tourist activities,in-depth information Hainan characteristics, attracting tourists from all over the world.While also doing sports tourism destination market marketing, good publicity throughnewspapers, television, Internet and other media, organization of public sportsactivities to raise awareness of Hainan sports tourism destination, with Hainantraditional folk festivals and major sporting events to expand sports tourism marketspace, the introduction of high-level sports professionals, and to develop high-qualitylocal sports talent through a variety of ways in order to improve the overall quality ofsports tourism services.
