A Study Of College Students’ Gratitude-expressing Education

The gratitude culture with a long history is an important part of Chinese traditionalthe gratitude culture with a long history is an important part of Chinese traditionalvirtues and plays a crucial role in the establishment of the spiritual civilization as wellas during the construction of harmony socialist society. We have learned that gratitudeeducation is a significant component of the ideological and political education inenhancing the comprehensive quality of college students. An internet research revealsthe fact that many colleges have made some progress in developing the gratitudeeducation.In reality, however, most college students do not possess the quality of gratitude,which alarms us to pay more attention to gratitude education in working on theideological and political education. Gratitude education is attracting extensive attentionfrom whole society for it characterized by new features with changing situations and itdoes challenge the job of ideological and political education. It is high time to revaluethe gratitude education and update educational concept by varying the content of dailylife and study, thus to develop a consciousness of gratitude among college students.Attempts are made in this paper to study the relevant issues of gratitude educationamong colleges from four aspects.Part one aims to illustrate a picture of the paper by introducing backgroundinformation and purpose of the study, besides, an annotated literature review at homeand broad will help to achieve the aforementioned goal.Part two provides a theoretical support for the exposition with an elaboration ofgratitude and gratitude education of students and represents the importance of thegratitude education among college students from the current situation and surroundings,thus improve the theory points of the paper.Part three studies the situation of gratitude and the reason of lacking in gratitudequality among undergraduates by analyzing the questionnaire of gratitude quality.Basing on the third part, the last part put forwards solutions in accordance withquestions aforementioned. Colleges should enhance and deepen the way of gratitudeeducation to building a more harmonious campus even social atmosphere to cultivate more compound students.
