National ministry of education issued《Criteria of General Senior High School Chinese Curriculum (experiment version)))(experiment version) in2003, which divided high school curriculum into two parts including ompulsory course and elective course. The design of chinese elective courses is one of the highlights in high school. Because different region has diffident characteristics, the various provinces and cities begin to implement curriculum in different year. Jilin province until2007to join experiment course target, we could say that high school chinese elective course of teaching like feeling the stones across the river. In2011, the ministry of education issued《the New Criteria of General Senior High School Chinese Curriculum》(the New Criteria Curriculum), have modified draft. With the New Criteria Curriculum, high school Chinese elective course of teaching has improved.The article based on the study of curriculum of elective course teaching under the New Criteria Curriculum, through questionnaire investigation and interview method, to understand the current situation of chinese elective course teaching in the second high school of Yan Bian. In order to find the advantages and disadvantages, put forward the suggestions of elective courses teaching. The article is divided into four chapters, the main content is as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, is divided into four parts, the first part is putting forward the questions;the second part is mainly demonstrates the research purpose and meaning in chinese elective course teaching of the second high school of Yanbian; The third part through search and read lots of books, papers and journals, sums up the domestic and foreign research status about the elective course teaching, especially most aspects of domestic research focuses on analyses; The forth part is mainly research methods, including questionnaire investigation, interview method and literature method. The second chapter is mainly to research the New Criteria Curriculum and define the concept of the elective course; From the time development, the curriculum reform and its development to instruct that the necessity of setting chinese elective course in high school; analying the total target and classification of the target about the chinese elective course. Classification targets including gradation, personalized and practical three characteristics; the content of the elective course in the New Criteria Curriculum,especially for use in the second high school of Yanbian material content has made the analysis.The third chapter is mainly through the questionnaire survey of students and interviews with teachers, to understand the chinese elective courses teaching of the second high school of Yanbian under the New Criteria Curriculum in choosing teaching materials, teaching methods, teaching means, student participation, to find advantages and the deficiencies. The fourth chapter mainly puts forward suggestions for the chinese elective courses teaching of the second high school of Yanbian. the choice of teaching materials, should select materials from three perspectives, including students, teachers, content; on teaching method, should think of the content type, the students and the school; on Teaching means, choosing examples, multimedia and network; on improving the students’ participation, the key is to increase the students’ reading, accumulate more, the cooperation and discussion between teachers and students, encouraging students to voice their opinions, encouraging students creation actively, under the guidance of the New Criteria Curriculum, elective course teaching conform to the needs of the development of the time, have very important influence on students and teachers.
