With the progress of social economy and civilization of our country. Thehigher education of our country has got into a critical period of reform. As a part ofhigher education, the postgraduate education has also appeared some problem such asdiploma depreciation, difficult of employment and decline of the training quality andother issues. The emergence of these problems is the result of three aspects ability ofour society, universities and postgraduates, such as non synchronous contradiction ofChinese economic development and the development of higher education, the conflictof traditional culture and modern civilization society, and so on. These contradictionsultimately lead to various problems in the training of postgraduate, which directly leadto current identity predicament of postgraduate. The paper based on the survey of thestudents’ living in school, to find the factors and tries to give advice for improvement ofthe training work of postgraduates.This paper based on case studies method, I choose twelve samples from sixuniversities for the deep investigation, study their experience of daily living throughobservation and interviews, these experience include their study, daily life,communication, closely and employment which closely related to them. From behaviorto emotion, and from emotion to their knowledge, examine the identity recognition ofpostgraduate.Either official documents or social consensus, the ideal identity characteristics of“postgraduates” should have a better psychological mature, skill and professional, andobtain the corresponding qualifications recognized by society, but through investigates,we found that these is a huge difference between ideal and real, their lifestyle isunhealthy and their psychological fragile, and academic belief is weak, through moreanalysis, we find they has been hampered rejection by many factors, to find these exclude problems and divided them, is good for identify recognize of postgraduates.This research base on Grounded Theory (GT), construct a theory called “twoelements partition and improvement theory”, which used for distinguishes the excludeproblem and give some advice to improve it. It believes that the exclude problemdivided by the controllable and uncontrollable. To deal with the controllable problem,we should reform our education system, give they a stable environment for learning andstudying, to deal with the uncontrolled problem, we should build the academic spirit forpostgraduate, for they can keep their belief of academic research and don’t lostthemselves under the exclude pressure.
