Responsibility refers to assuming own liability, which is the foundation of acts. There are somefamous aphorisms about responsibility in China and foreign countries, including Liang Qichao’s ‘You canknow joint of performing responsibility after comprehending the hardship of performing responsibility’,Lincoln’s ‘Everyone should have the confidence that people are able to take responsibility, I will be ableto bear; person able to bear the responsibility, I also can carry. So, you can temper them, seeking moreknowledge into higher realms.’ It is obvious that both China and foreign country pay attention to cultivatingcivic responsibility sense. And responsibility and civil responsibility kept specification each person’soutlook on life, values and world view. Now increasing trend of economic globalization, the competition ofcomprehensive national strength has increased. At the same time, the society more and more, such asecological environment problems, food safety problems, corruption and so on, to a certain extent restrictsthe social stability and harmony. Investigate the root cause, one of the important reasons is the citizenresponsibility consciousness is weak, lack of civic responsibility. Therefore, it is imperative to strengthencitizens’ sense of responsibility to foster. However,middle school students in China, as pioneers inrealizing socialist modernization, shoulder the historic mission to achieve great rejuvenation of theChinese nation, and it is imperative to train their civic responsibility sense.Literature research method and comparative study method are adopted in the paper. Civicresponsibility sense of high school students is explained, the necessity of training civic responsibilitysense is systematically discussed firstly. Problems in civic responsibility sense on current middle schoolstudents are sorted, and these problems in civic responsibility sense of middle school students areanalyzed from four aspects of society, school, family and middle school students themselves secondly.The contents of training civic responsibility sense are discussed in details, in addition, the method oftraining civic responsibility sense of middle school students is described from four aspects of ‘optimizingsocial environment’,‘optimizing campus environment’,‘optimizing family environment’ and ‘strengthening self-education..Finally using a teaching case, expounds how to cultivate junior middleschool students in the education practice of civic responsibility.To sum up, the cultivation of civic responsibility is crucial, the junior middle school is theenlightenment period of citizen education, understanding the concept of citizen, the cognition of civic duty,and perception of the citizens’ sense of responsibility and training, start from junior middle school stage.This makes the junior middle school stage the civil responsibility of education has the significance offounding, so also show the status of citizen responsibility education in junior middle school thought moral.So, the research of this subject is enough to cause our attention.
