At the beginning of this century, our country carried out a new round of basic education curriculum reform for the comprehensive promotion of quality education, emphasizing that teachers play a key role in the curriculum reform. Teachers are the largest power to the curriculum reform, at the same time, are the biggest obstacle. Therefore, one of the important work is to chang teachers from the resistance state to the dynamic state in the curriculum reform, and teachers’responsibility is essential to this change. In addition, the period of junior middle school is a rebellious stage that students are forming values and developing comprehensivly and healthy, so more teachers have clear sense of responsibility and excellent responsible ability. Therefore the study of Junior Middle School teachers’responsibility is very necessary in the background of new curriculum reform.On the basis of a large number of interview and survey, we made a careful investigation into the tendency of Junior Middle School teachers’responsibility. The results found that:Overall, most junior middle school teachers’responsibility is ideal, but a small part of teachers lack of responsibility. Specifically, with regard to the business responsibility, in thought and action, the majority of teachers possess a strong responsibility in such aspects as ideological and moral education, the ways and means about responsibility operating, respect and care for students and treating myself, in the meantime, some teachers have weak responsibility; with regard to the collective responsibility, whether in thought or action, most teachers possess a strong responsibility in such aspects as treating colleagues and participating in school management and various activities organized by the school, some teachers, however, have weak responsibility. Moreover, Junior Middle School teachers’responsibility is also affected by the factors such as gender, age, marriage, education background, professional title, gread, subjects, school types and whether as a head teacher and school leaders or not.The result shows that Junior Middle School teachers’responsibility is not very well. Based on the analysis of the inclination of responsibility, we should take steps in three aspects of society, schools, teachers to enhance Junior Middle School teachers’ responsibility.
