Function is the core content of middle school mathematics curriculum.Higher asjunior and senior high school mathematics learning goes on to the stage, itsunderstanding of the function concept is very targeted.Therefore,In this study theaffiliated high school of south jiangxi province high grade three classes, a total of151samples,using Fan Xier theory, the degree of students’ understanding of the conceptsof the function is divided into former cognitive level,visualizations,description/analysis level, abstract/link level, level forms of reasoning, mathematicalrigor/yuan, a total of six levels.In the process of investigation and study, using themethod of testing the questionnaire, the investigation data of SPSS is used to sorting,analysis, and through the Excle this paper summarizes the result of the data.Theresults show that most of the students’ understanding of the concepts of function levelcan reach the description/analysis level, very few students mathematical rigor/yuan,part of the students can form of reasoning.At each level, the major work class thestudents’ cognitive level on the whole is better than the regular class students. Inaddition, although the level of understanding from the concept of function on thewhole, the cognition of girls than boys, but on the level of individual projects, boysand girls is no much difference.The full text was divided into five chapters.Chapter1Project put forward:In this study elaborates the selected topicreason, on the basis of the selected topic significance as well as to put forward theresearch topic research goal.Chapter2Literature review:Through the study and the related literaturecollection and sorting, respectively from the functions research, teaching research andrelated research in the theory of Fan Xier combing and analysis of the several aspectsabout the present situation of its research.Chapter3Research design and process:This chapter test questionnaire of thisresearch is analyzed, through the object of the participants, the questionnaireinvestigation, the function concept understanding level.Chapter4Study the results of the survey and data analysis:In the thirdchapter, this chapter, on the basis of questionnaire test, the result of the questionnaire survey data to a general analysis and specific analysis, respectively from the aspectsof different classes, different gender, in addition to each level of correlation.Chapter5The main conclusions of research and teaching advice:Thischapter summarizes the main research conclusion, and respectively from the aspectsof teachers ’teaching,students learning and middle school curriculum has put forwardthe corresponding teaching Suggestions.
