With the reform of higher education system in our country as well as the deepening of the university increased enrollment,all sectors of society pay more attention to the popularization of higher education,especially the comprehensive quality of college students.College counselors are the main implementation of Ideological and political education,and the national Ministry of education and other relevant departments have been paying more attention about it.Performance appraisal is combined with salary distribution for staff,employee job promotion,motivation,training and so on,which is an important content of human resource management.The current development of counselor performance appraisal system in our country is still not mature,there are many problems such as chaotic evaluation system index,unavailable combination of qualitative index and quantitative index,and too simple parts for main assessment.These problems has caused the adverse effects on results from the counselor performance appraisal,even has made the enthusiasm of instructors disappearing.The construction and implementation of college counselors performance assessment system will guide Individual development and behavior criterion for college counselors directly.According to questionnaire survey in D university and the relevant theories of performance appraisal,this essay points out the defects and causes of the existing evaluation system for the university counselors by analyzing data about working characteristics and responsibilities.We will describe the formation of job through the analysis of college counselor job responsibilities,using key performance indicators (KPI) method to determine index,and determining the weight of each index through the analytic hierarchy process.Then,setting up the counselor performance appraisal system of D university again with a360°evaluation method,and giving some suggestions on the new system in the end.The establishment of such performance evaluation system,not only can reflect the characteristics of college counselors,but also can help instructors find their own shortcomings and deficiencies by its more accurate,clear assessment indicators and correct quickly so that improving the overall performance achievements of college counselors.
