With the continuous development of our national higher education, domesticuniversities have made significant progress in enrollment scale, scientific research level,social service and other aspects. The reform of China’s higher education and the reformof colleges themselves are still left behind the general reform of China. So the qualityenhancement of running schools, especially the improvement of teachers’ level, will be asignificant point for the reform of China’s college and universities and the strengtheningof interior management at the later stage. With the implementation of scientific outlookon development and people-oriented thought, how to scientifically design andappropriately apply teachers’ performance appraisal system in college and universities isthe basis of implementing appointment system for teachers and the demand for furtheringinterior reform of universities, playing a profound significance in the development ofhigher education.Research background and significance, research conditions at home and abroad,research contents and methods of the paper are firstly reviewed; then, the discussion onrelevant theories is presented to mainly expound, comb and integrate performanceappraisal and its theory for college teachers, so as to bring out the theoretical ground ofthe paper; next, various evaluation methods and indicators of performance appraisalsystem for college teachers at domestic and abroad at present are analyzed and theexisting evaluation system of D University is also conducted to pinpoint the problems;then in accordance with the strategy-oriented principle and by means of expert interviews,the performance assessment index system regarding D University is built; and finally, setof performance appraisal system of D university is designed by means of expert analysismethod and the analytic hierarchy process, etc.Through the research on performance appraisal system of D University, theperformance management of teachers in this college is given some methods andsuggestions in an attempt to provide some favorable assistance for improving the capacityof performance appraisal managers for assessing the teachers in D University. |
