Research For Major Differences Of College Students’ Exercise Attitude

This research is based on the status of collage students’ sports attitude. From theperspective of psychology and the line of the main contents of psychology research, the needof lifelong physical education is combined. By using quantitative and qualitative methods weanalysis the differences of different characteristics of the exercise attitudes, besides, thefactors which could effect undergraduates’ exercise attitudes are identified. This studyprovides references for the sustainable development of universities sports work, taking anactive part in physical training and changing the limited physical training attitudes.This research mainly adopts literature review method, questionnaire survey method andmathematical statistics method. We took an investigation of300college students, and thefindings suggest that:firstly, the attitudes of exercise from different gender students are notsignificant. However, they are obviously different on the perspective on behavior attitude,behavior habit, behavior intention, emotional experience and behavior control. Overall, everyperspectives shows that the collage boys are more positive than collage girls onsports.Secondly, students with different majors contain different attitudes to exercise. Theyhave evident differences on behavior attitude, behavior control and subjective standarddimension. Descriptive statistics suggest that science students have better sports attitude thanarts students. Thirdly, students in different grades have remarkably different exercise attitudes.They are obviously different on behavior attitude, objective attitude, behavior habits, behaviorintention, emotion experience, perceived behavioral control and subjective standard. Fromevery perspectives of them shows that the sophomore students are more enthusiastic on sportsthan other grades students.Fourthly, all the influencing factors interact each other suggest thatthe interaction between grades and majors have notable difference on behavior attitude,objective attitude, behavior habits, cognitive behavior intention, emotional experience andsubjective standard dimension. The interaction between genders and majors have distinctdifferences on behavior habit, behavior intention, emotional experience and subjectivestandard dimension. However, the interaction between grades and genders, and interactionamong grades, genders and majors are not remarkable on collage students’ exercise attitudes.The above research findings indicate that gender differences, major differences, gradedifferences, and also the interaction between grades and majors, interaction between majorsand genders could be the main factors which may influence the collage students’ exercise attitudes.
