Our country established the rural boarding primary school in the early1950s.At that time, it is purpose to solve the problem of school-age children go to school inthe poor areas and the pastoral areas.But as the initial success of our country’s FamilyPlanning Policy, school-age students are declining in rural areas. In order to integratethe advantages of educational resources and to ensure the quality of teaching in ruralareas, from the beginning of the1990s, the Ministry of Education beganimplementing "the structural readjustment of rural education." A lot of rural teachingpoints and central schools are been banned. In early21st century, The State Councilpromulgated "Decision on the Reform and Development of Basic Education","National Education Tenth Five-Year Plan" and other documents to implement furtherthe" structural readjustment of the rural schools" policy and to increase efforts inbuilding rural boarding schools, so that rural boarding schools been built in thecountry gradually. However, because of the short time of the construction of ruralboarding primary schools and the lack of experience, and local education departmentscan’t understand central policy exactly, there are many problems in the constructionand improvement of the process in rural boarding primary school. Until now, withouta better solution, the growth of rural boarding primary school students makes peopleworry, and it has attracted the attention of the community.This paper is divided into four parts. The first part describes some relatedconception of rural boarding primary school students’ growth, the internal andexternal living environment of rural boarding primary schools and the beneficialeffects of the growth of rural boarding primary school students. The second partdescribes the existing problems of the rural boarding primary school students’ growth,including outstanding safety issues, personality development of students blocked,students’ poor ability of social adaptation and outstanding mental health problems.The third part introduces the cause of rural boarding primary school students to growexisting problems, including the poor accommodation environment, the lack of healtheducation guidance, emotional care and extracurricular practice, and the weakteachers’ structure. Based on the above problems, the part four is about somecountermeasures for the healthy growth of the rural boarding pupils, mainly theimprovement of accommodation environment, reasonable living arrangements, therecommendation of high-quality teachers and the promotion of teacher quality and soon.
