Study On The Selection Of Professional Course Teaching In Physical Education Of Hunan Province College Table Tennis

Because of the demand for table tennis professional talents, more and more collegestudents choose table tennis as their major,so table tennis specialized course becomesone of the popular sports of the physical education specialty.As the number of peopleincreases and the features of the table tennis specialized course, some correspondingteaching problems emerge.The artical makes some research on table tennis specialized course of the physicaleducation specialty in colleges of Hunan province,and choosing7among14collegeswhich have table tennis specialized course as respondents.The7colleges are:HunanNormal University,Jishou University,Hunan University of Technology,Hunan Universityof Arts and Science,Xiangnan University,Huaihua College,Hunan Institute of HumanScience and Technology.And using literature and data,questionnaire survey,field observation,interviews,mathematical statistics methods into research about table tennis specialized course,theresult are as follows：The education degree,title,age and the teaching structure of the table tennisspecialized teachers in these7colleges are more reasonable and they were formlytrained in table tennis.Physical education majors are interested in ping-pong sport,andthey have some information about the sport and clear participation motivation.Thefacilitate in these7colleges can basically satisfy the needs of daily table tennisspecialized course teaching whose content is mainly technique teaching.But there aresome problems in tennis specialized course teaching.For example:these colleges haveless chance for teachers’post training,table tennis majors have poor foundation,locationenvironment, the quality of facilities,and the management system are need to beimproved,there is some diference between start age limit and class hours in table tennisspecialized course,the form of the teaching organization which lacks of using modernadvanced teaching methods is relatively single,the teaching and the evaluation content isfocused on tactics,which has less content for developing students’ability,it’s not goodfor the majors’development in the future.Pointing that in order to improve the teaching quality of table tennis specializedcourse,the colleges must pay much attention to the teachers’ post training to heightenbusiness level;enhance the communications between teachers and students and stressstudents’ main role;adjust the teaching content according to the need to properlyincrease the course start age limit and class hours;develop school textbooks;combinewith the traditional teaching methods and modern teaching methods to improve theteaching level;broaden the examination scope and pay attention to evaluate students’ability;perfect the course management system and make full use of the stadiumsresources.
