Research On Selection Strategy Of Major Sport Event’s Of Chongqing City

With the economic development and social progress, sports has become one of theimportant means to expand foreign exchanges, to show the city image, continue to promotethe city economic, political, promote tourism and related industries development has played amore and more important role. In recent years, the quantity of sports events held throughoutour country gradually increased, more and more city tend to hold more popular sports,competition increased, scale, frequency increased, and showing a booming trend. And thesports event for the great influence of the host city, especially the influence on many aspectsof political, economic, the host place’s culture, more and more city hope to promote thedevelopment of local economy, organized by some influential match culture.If a city wants to successfully hold a large-scale sports events, need to be guaranteed inmany aspects, including a stable political environment, favorable economic security, improvethe sports facilities, and smooth traffic conditions, advanced communication equipment, agood city environment and relatively rich experience running contest etc.. In fact, not all ofthese factors can be guaranteed to one city. Therefore, if a city hopes to promote thedevelopment of local economy, society through sports, sports events correctly, will becomean important research issue, based on their actual situation to the city, and city fit event isimportant to think and solve problems need tournament selection.This study takes Chongqing city as the research object, based on the currentdevelopment situation, the overall situation in Chongqing city sports development byliterature survey method, interview method, questionnaire method, expert consultationmethod and other research methods, combined with the sports events to choose variousfactors need to be considered, analyzes the favorable conditions of Chongqing City currentlyhosting and development of large sports government attention, sports legal system has beenimproved and good infrastructure and public infrastructure conditions, also gives thebottleneck was held in the city of Chongqing and the development of major sports events,such as the lack of large-scale events, operation and management of professional sportsreserve talent shortage and the uneven distribution of the project and to organize large-scaleevents conditions of stadiums and gymnasiums and inadequate facilities etc.Large events inChongqing city is given in this paper are the following basic strategy: the first large-scaleevent in Chongqing city should follow the basic principles: regional, operational, uniqueness,continuity, regional co-ordination principle.The study gives the Chongqing tournament selection strategy gives the following basiccharacteristics: mountain city full of passion and ecological Chongqing, the events to beheld on city should be ecological sports events and full of vitality, show Chongqing’s passionfor; in the event hierarchy selection should focus on the holding of national and internationalsports events to promote Chongqing’s sports influence and visibility, enhance the image ofthe city; in the project should select the choice and development of football, track and field,swimming, diving, basketball and the marathon and outdoor open as the representative of thecharacteristics of Chongqing brand competition; continue to hold to city single brandcompetition, holding basketball, football the National League and the internationalinvitational tournament, also held various participation event; event number to be consideredin the selection of the total cost of events and total return, time selection to avoid the high temperature of summer precipitation in considering the project characteristics in the situation;spatial selection should take into account the infrastructure, host of the accommodation andreception capacity and the holding place’s traffic convenience.
