With the reform of the development of history curriculum, the importance ofthe historical data teaching continuously emerging, whether it is a demonstration ofclass, or everyday teaching, the teaching mode has become a common phenomenon,especially in some excellent class cases, almost all the historical data teaching arestrongly reflected. Images as one of the historical data types have been widely usedin recent years, and has a trend for further development. In the process of theconcrete application, however, due to the fact that some basic methods andprinciples of image historical data are not clear, the application effect is uneven.Therefore, this article want to research the image historical data via the examples ofthe demonstration class in Xuhui district in Shanghai. The main contents are asfollows:The introduction of the first part mainly introduces the background of theresearch, illustrating from the needs of curriculum reform, the need of historyteaching practice, and the current situation of history teaching. The second part isprocess where the research achievements at home and abroad in recent years in thearea of image historical material are generally combed. The third part is theintroduction of the object, scope, and some methods in this paper.The first part of the body has explained the basic concept, classification, themain image of historical features, the historical value in research and teachingpractice clearly, thinking that image historical material helps students improve theirstudy interests, strengthen the historical thinking ability, explore the ability andaesthetic. The second part sorts out, classifies and researches the demonstrationclasses in the past three years, including the times, steps and deficient of application.These weaknesses are: the lack of understanding of historical value, the lack ofrationality of selecting the image historical material and the lack of guide towards thestudy of image of historical materials. On the basis of this, the third part of the bodyputs forward some suggestions for how to use the right image, including theobjective conditions and subjective conditions needed for the image historical data, thinking that only when a history teacher have good professional knowledge,information technology, and aesthetic ability can they use image historical materialskillfully. When using images of historical materials, we should pay attention to aseries of steps, mainly including: images choice, display, observation and exploration.
