| Summary Mathematics composition can be a new mathematics work formin order to eke out the defect of the present mathematics work form, make the formand content of the mathematics work much more plentiful, stimulate the students’learning initiative, stimulate the students’ learning interest, promote the teacher-student emotions, show off the students’ mathematics personality and increase thestudents’ learning efficiency at the same time. According to the functions, this articleclassifies the mathematics composition to be: reflection style, query style, summarystyle, research style, innovation style and problem solving style mainly. Since themathematics composition is one of the mathematics works, it should be evaluated bydiverse methods. The evaluation principles including: purposiveness principle,all-sidedness principle, people oriented principle and motivation principle.Being as the supplemental form of the middle-school’s mathematics works, themathematics composition should be arranged with reasonable time and can neither bemuch nor less. The mathematics composition work must be assigned by integratingthe mathematics teaching links, give the students incentive comments as much aspossible by considering the stimulation effect.This article is composed by six parts:Part one: to bring up question and point out the necessity and feasibility ofmathematics composition being as the mathematics work form.Part two: literature search and to define the works, mathematics works andmathematics composition.Part three: summarize of the middle-school’s mathematics composition and to setforth it’s functions, styles and evaluation principles.
