Eevaluation Research On The Competitiveness Of Urban Creative Talent

Creative talents become the most important and valuable resources in thecreative economy age, which are the main power of promoting the creative industryand the major sources of improving urban competition ability. However, the numberof creative industrial practitioners is about10million in China until2011, whichaccounts for only two percent of total employment. Configuring creative talentsability of cities determines the economic development pattern when the scale ofexisting creative talents resources is stable. Therefore, it becomes a burning issue toinquire into the factors and establish evaluation index system of creative talentscompetitiveness scientifically, systematically, scrupulously and perfectly.First, literature reviews are introduced and theory model is established oftalents competitiveness combined with talent competitiveness theory and creativeeconomy theory. Next, the article establishes28evaluating indicators by using themethod of empirical validation and data analysis. Thirdly, the paper selects sectionaldata of24city samples from2007to2011and makes an empirical study by usingthe method of principal component analysis. Finally, the article estimates creativetalent competitiveness synthetically from the dimension of creative talentcompetitiveness and overall level of it, based on this, suggestions of promotingdevelopment of creative talent competitiveness is proposed.The study finds that most of urban creative talent competitiveness is low fromthe static angle. From the dynamic analysis, great majority of cities show a gooddevelopment trend in urban creative talent competitiveness, most of them are thekind of performance driven and environment driven cities. From the article, the gapof creative talent competitiveness is big in the9economic zones.It presents a trendof east-west development gradually. From the different dimensions of creative talentcompetitiveness, cities show different competitive advantages because ofdiscrepancy in economy, science, technology, culture and social environment.
