Special education is an important part of our educational system, it is the innate demandof improving educational fairness and justice to develop special education career. Nationalmiddle and long term educational reform and development plan outline (2010-2020) clearlypoints out that we should pay attention to and support special education, complete specialeducational system, refine special educational guarantee system. Therefore, we should fullydisplay the advantage of modern information technology, speed up the progress of specialeducation informatization, use special education informatization to push the modernization ofspecial education, crack the puzzle restricting the development of special education, thusproposing the innovation and reformation of special education.The goal of this study: on the basis of systematically sorting out and reflecting ourspecial education informatization theory, comprehensively concluding our practicalexperiences on special education informatization, we offer references to educationinformatization construction and development of special education schools by studying casesto propose efficient strategy promoting the development of special education schoolinformatization.Approach and methods of this study: this study sorts out and reflects study problems inour special education informatization theory, comprehensively concludes the practicalexperiences and shortages in the development process of our special educationinformatization by literature study, on this basis, this study makes the questionnaire of thedevelopment status of special school’s education informatization. Through questionnaire andinterview, with regard to the construction issue of Baoji special education school’s specialeducation informatization, this study divided into this issue from five aspects: the recognitionof the importance of special education informatization, hardware environment construction,software resource construction, information technological education and disciplineapplication, informatization talent training and skills. On the basis of analyzing study data,this study concludes the existing problems in the progress of special education informatizationbuilding in Baoji special education school, the detailed contents are as follows: therecognition of the importance of special education remains to be improved, construction fundsare insufficient, hardware environment construction remains to be improved, the utilityefficiency of equipment is low, the number of informatization teaching resource is insufficient,incomplete type and low quality, the result of information technology class is not satisfied, information technology and discipline teaching integration stay in a low level, teachers’abilities in informatization teaching is weak and efficient training is lacking.In order to speed up the education informatization development progress of Baoji specialeducation school, we can take methods as follows: improving the recognition of theimportance of special education informatization, innovating the collecting channels ofconstruction funds of special education informatization, optimizing the hardware environmentconstruction of informatization teaching, improving the utility efficiency of equipment,building informatization teaching resource base, developing quality teaching resource,holding information technology class, proposing the deep integration between informationtechnology and discipline teaching, enhancing teachers’ informatization ability and training.Special education informatization is a complex system engineering, in order to realize thehealthy development of special education school’s education informatization, we need acoordinated, orderly and sustainable development of special education informatization.
