Selected Singapore secondary school’s mathematics textbook——《new syllabus mathematics》,which does excellent performance in large-scale international comparison test."Statistics and Probability" is the paper’s research object. Based on some important guiding ideas and principles of textbook, the author analysis the textbook’s knowledge systerm express system and exercises system, at the same time, study the characteristics of the textbook from three aspects: knowledge, ability, emotion. Finally draw the following basic conclusions:This paper mainly analysis textbook’s knowledge system from the choice and distribution of knowledge. On one hand, the textbook emphasize basic knowledge and skills, it do well in stimulating students’learning interests through history of mathematics, and developing students’ positive attitude to mathematics. In addition, the textbook take social problems in the book, which can provide background so as to help students solve some problems in life and develop their application ability. On the other hand, the textbook arrange "statistic" and "probability" in different grades, which match secondary school students’mental cognition law.As to the expression system, the author analyzes the choreography and presentation of the content. the textbook arrange the "statistic and probability" in accordance with the following order: chapter topic pictures—earning goals—instruction—section name—problem situation—concepts、 laws—examples (or activity operation)—xercises—summary—review examples—review questions. The presentation of knowledge follows this model:problem situation—establish model—interpretation and application—reflection. In fact, the textbook’s expression system reflects the basic mind of "Realistic Mathematics Education":provides real environment for students, and guide them to explore and obtain knowledge independently in the process of doing mathematics.About the textbook’s exercises, this paper analyzes the type and difficulty of the exercises and find that there are many comprehensive exercises and review questions. According exercises difficulty model made by Professor Bao Jiansheng, the author analyzes the exercises difficulty and find the following characteristics:the textbook not only focus on the basic knowledge and calculation, but also stressed mathematics nature, which can help students develop reasoning ability. In addition, there’re rich context of exercises, which are realistic、specific vivid and reasonable.Based on theses results, through compare with the "statistic and probability" field of mathematics textbook published by People Education publisher, the paper put forward the following recommendations:Firstly, the textbook should emphasize the statistical awareness, but downplay concepts and some unnecessary calculation; Secondary, the expression way must leave much space for students to go to explore; Thirdly, the exercises should design to promote students’ development.
