In the 21 st century,countries and regions around the world actively build a curriculum system based on core literacy,and put forward new requirements for personnel training to adapt to the development of the new era.Singapore has made remarkable achievements in basic education reform and practice,and its education system is recognized as one of the best.Based on the mathematics curriculum standard of compulsory education(2011 Edition)in China and mathematics complexes secondary one to four normal(technical)course(2013)in Singapore,the junior high school mathematics textbook(hereinafter referred to as the human EDUCATION EDITION)published by China People's education press and new syllabus Mathematics(2016)(hereinafter referred to as the Shinglee Edition)published by Singapore Shinglee press are published "Statistics and probability" is the research object in(EDITION).By using comparative research method,literature research method and quantitative analysis method,comparative research is mainly carried out from the four dimensions of the introduction of knowledge points,content structure,depth and breadth of content,and example exercises.The purpose of this paper is to discuss the similarities and differences between the textbooks of the two countries through comparative study,in order to provide some reference suggestions for the compilation of statistics and probability content of junior high school mathematics textbooks in China.Through comparison,the following five conclusions are obtained:(1)From the perspective of mathematics curriculum standards of the two countries,curriculum standard 2011 focuses on the cultivation of students' learning ability,emotion,attitude and values,outline 2013 emphasizes the rationality of learning statistics,probability and interpretation results by using media,network and other technical means,and focuses on the cultivation of students' Questioning Consciousness.Statistics and probability account for a small proportion in the curriculum standards of the two countries,and they are dominated by statistics.The content of "statistics and probability" in Singapore is higher than that in China.(2)From the arrangement of teaching materials,statistics and probability content of human education edition are distributed in three volumes of teaching materials of differentgrades,in which probability content is arranged in the last(Volume I of grade 9);probability and statistical content of Shinglee edition are interleaved and cross set.There are columns of "thinking","experiment and exploration","Application of information technology","mathematical activities","reading and thinking" in the textbook of Human Education Edition;four types of columns are set after the example exercises in the edition of Shinglee,which cause the students to discuss,think and explore,with high cognitive level There are many narration notes and reminders in the textbook,and each chapter begins with the students' learning objectives.(3)In terms of the content structure of the textbook,the statistical content in the human resources education edition includes the whole process of data collection,collation,description and analysis,and a chapter of probability content arrangement There are four levels of statistical content in the Edition: statistical data processing,statistical chart,data concentration,and comprehensive use of statistical knowledge.There are two levels of probability content: probability of a single event and comprehensive use of probability knowledge.It emphasizes theoretical probability and classical probability calculation.(4)From the aspect of content setting,the two versions of textbooks are relatively systematic in explaining statistics and probability knowledge.The content of statistics and probability knowledge in the human education version is less than that in the Shinglee version,and the learning depth is also lower than that in the Shinglee version.In the cognitive level,the human education version pays more attention to the level of understanding,and the level of exploration is very low.(5)In terms of examples and exercises,(1)the total number of examples and exercises in the people's education version is less than that in the Shinglee version,and their levels are not as detailed as those in the Shinglee version;(2)in terms of the difficulty of examples and exercises,the comprehensive difficulty of statistical content examples and exercises in the Shinglee version is higher than that in the people's education version,and the comprehensive difficulty of probability content examples is lower than that in the people's education version,but the comprehensive difficulty of exercises is higher than that in the people's education version;(3)Shinglee The exercises of statistics and probability content in the edition all use information technology to collect information,use appropriate software to draw statistical charts,and use software to describe and analyze data.The people's Education Edition simply introduces the use of information technology to draw statistical charts without arranging exercises There are discussion questions arranged in the text of the edition.In the example exercises,some of them predict the future through statistical charts;in the human education edition,open exercises are set inthe exercises;(5)the examples and exercises of the two editions of textbooks are close to life;(6)some exercises in the statistics of the two editions of textbooks are deficient in cultivating the concept of data analysis,such as pure statistics calculation and obtaining the information from the statistical charts Information,etc.,which truly embodies the concept of data analysis,accounted for 55.68% in the human education version and 50.28% in the Shinglee version.(6)The statistics and probability content in the two editions of textbooks are mainly statistics,with less probability content.The statistics part is mainly descriptive statistics and less inferential statistics.
